picked up my Polo GTI 2 days ago. noticed that the engine cover is missing.
speak to the dealer, this is the changed on 2009 model.
truly dissapointed on the VW cost Cutting.
any1 experiences that same? is that any true on 2009 model without engine cover?

Sounds dodgy - I cant imagine they'd leave off the engine cover to save a few bucks.

Yeah sure doesnt sound right, even if they do cost cut im sure they wouldnt lose a cover.

The engine cover is a pain the a$$. I prefer the engine without the cover. The only thing it may be good for is keeping some dust off the rocker cover, but even then it wouldnt do a great job.
With mine it was the Battery cover : "Your model doesn't come with that." BS, I tell you ... they're lying to you.

Typical dealer lying bull*****! Ask to have alook at another "2009" model -- I'll bet there's an engine cover. Or check ot a car at another dealer. I have to tell you, I'd get really angry about this -- it's the sort of thing that perpetuates the bad name of the car sales trade
