It comes down to personal preference, I paid the premium for it on my Golf, and never looked back, id do it again too. All my cars that ive had an option for sunroof have had it, any that didnt have a sunroof, i missed it. Ill drive with it tilted 12 months of the year just to get some ventilation into the car, esp as with the windows down it gets quite gusty inside.

Even back in Ireland i had a 306 with sunroof and even on dayts when it was snowing, i still had it tilted.

Some people though prefer Aircon, and i find that at freeway speeds i will close it as it reduces wind noise substantially.

I originally ordered mine with both leather and sunroof, but coming to think of it now im happy i didn't get the sunroof. Value for money the leather is a worth a lot more than the sunroof. The leather just transforms the car, makes it feel like its in a different class. The quality of the leather seats makes up for the cheaper looking dashboard and also over time leather ages better and maintains a cleaner new look for longer which i think would add value over the years (as long as its maintained properly). The sunroof is quite small and with the possible problems with seals, mechanism im happy i stayed away. But i must say from some angles it makes the car look hot. In summary getting leather was the best decision and not getting the sunroof was very lucky on my side.

I've got one on mine and unless it's raining or really hot, it's always open on tilt. Hardly ever have the windows down. So for me, it's a great addition and something that I've found more useful when initially I figured it would be more of a novelty.

No rattles, creaks or leaks. It seems very well designed, just like the rest of the car.

Most likely wouldn't get one if I bought another Japanese car though.

i have one and i use it all the time...

It helps make the car less claustraphobic when there is lots of people in the car (think Big burly men haha)

I doubted the use of it, but now that i have it i wouldnt go back to not having it..

Honestly you can do without it if you cant afford it.. but if its there it is useful.

I have a sunroof and have found another good use for it. My tints is done at 20% which is quite dark considering the factory glass already has a tint in the glass its self.

When ever I find it too dark in the car (due to the tints) I open the sun shade from the sunroof to allow more light in. I also do it if I see cops around because it makes the tint look lighter so I wont get done for having illegal tint.
