GTI H&Rs are 30-35 drop
thanks everyone for the comments...it has answered my questions and fears!
Im going to source some through Dave and then get Pedders to fit me thinks - should save me a few hundred dollars.
Wilkinson worked out to but 300 labour...so thats a pretty expensive H&R kit for a claimed 40mm drop at the back, 35mm at the front (or it could have been the other way round)
Dave...il be in touch!
Last Saturday, my friend and I managed to test both H&R spring & ABT spring on the track. We came to a conclusion that ABT works better on the track (stiffer than H&R) while H&R provides more compliant ride.
dont forget to allow for wheel alignment and a balancing in your budgeting.
you might also want to think about a camber kit? not sure if its necessary though.
I was quoted circa $1k from Wheels World, which I wont be following through on!!

^ Agreed, a full wheel alignment is a must.

131 Euro's is cheap as, and its a 3 hour install, which shouldn't be more than $300...You could get away with it for less than $650.

my plan is to purchase the H&R's from Dave..then shop them around for fitment...hopefully a sway bar or two in it aswell..will see how the budget goes...im thinking new focal splits and sub combo before that
Not too interested in performance after the chip, more than happy with how she runs now...i don't thrash it beyond its current limits...i just wanna drop it down a bit so it doesn't look like my rims are rollerskate wheels!![]()
