    ECS Porsche caliper???

Hey guys, been looking at upgrading the polo's brakes for quite some time and came across these from ECS for the 1.8T Mk4 golf. Anyone know if these should fit or not? I've also got VW Exor STP 17" wheels.

Volkswagen Golf IV 1.8T > Braking > ECS Stage 2 > ES#1168 ECS Stage 2 Big Brake Kit - (Silver Porsche Boxster Caliper, 12.3 One Piece Rotor) - MK4S2BBK-SSLT

    Thanks for your input guys.

    I cant see why not

TT kits 12.3 fit so I am 99% sure it will, and laura just put the same kit on her car she bought second hand

I have a the porsche kit, but is suited to a S4, just had to space the carriers a little

Thanks mate for your input. Sometimes it's kinda frustrating and off putting when you're unsure if things would fit or not cause there aren't a great deal of parts listed specifically for the polo like there is with other VAG models. If only our pog was sold in the US, then they'll be heaps more parts for it.
What size wheels are you running currently? 16" or 17"s?

    Cheers.

Well dont have them on yet
I have puled them on and off many times to check fitment, get the right carrier spacer made up
They will go on when i have money for tyres lol
I know you can run them with some 16's, but because the calipers are quite wide they will only fit with certain wheels

Standard wheels would need to be spaced out about 20mm

So I guess with 17" VAG wheels, I should fine with regards to clearance then cause I don't really want to go putting on spacers due to the possible insurance issues etc.

Would be nice to see them up and running on both our cars then.

    Cheers mate.

I think you will need something with a low offset and spokes that don't sit in too far.

Does anyone know what/if offset for the exor stp 17" VAG wheels are? I can't recall if its et35 but its definately 17 x 7 from memory. Sorry guys, will need guidance about this whole brake upgrade and wheelfitment thing as I'm a complete noob and clueless when it comes to brake fitment (apart from changing pads and flushing brake fluid) and the associated wheel offset etc.

    Cheers.

I have been looking at the same upgrade for my bora 4mo.
You will need to be very careful with the spoke clearance as this is the major issue.

There is a wheel fitment guide here:
    http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edoc/...III-Stg2v1.pdf
print and cut it out, put inside rim and see what your clearance is like.

you may have better luck with the 2v2 kit as they use a custom rotor to give more clearance, but then may have issues with the 330mm rotor clearing 17's. you are then also limited to replacement rotors from ECS rather than off the shelf rotors, and pads need sligh modification to fit.

They are also back ordered with no ETA on stock coming in. I've been waiting a month or so.
Current: '04 Astra SRI Turbo - EDS IPF Flash, 3" TBE, Quaife LSD
Previously: Bora 4mo, cams, coilovers, tune, exhaust, brembo's etc

The offset should be stamped on the back of the wheels Dave.
If you can't find it out here than you can always check on the back.
