Jmac thanks for the part number..great help.
Looks like the ECS Stage1 kit comes with a 20.5lb flywheel which they still term light weight......
Ok the part number for tha bearing is 02A141165A and the Flywheel in this kit is 14ibs. Just one more thing have a good looka t the release arm as they are bad for cracking, best to find it when the trans is out.
Cheers

thought id post up a bit of a heads up...
my clutch needs replacing, and i was able to get a ECS stage I kit with lightened flywheel for 650 plus postage from bug_racer
although i found the price great, it was more his willingness to give advice/suggestions to absolute spanners like myself who dont know the nitty gritty of everything... not too many are willing to help others out for nix these days...
thumbs up from me

Holein1 that's interesting. To import it direct cost $834.24 so it would be interesting to see how he would supply everyone for $650. And this is the same bug_racer who quoted me $1000 + p&h for a ecs clutch to fit the polo only a couple of months ago.
On another note I know Jmac pretty well and can assure he isn't one to rip people off
Hi Jmac and Rosonic,
Can I pick your brains on the release bearing part no.l
From what I can ascertain.
02A 141 165A has been replaced by 02A 141 165M.
VW say the latter part is all they have in their system and it corresponds with the description and "think" its the replacement for the former.
Rosonics VW clutch image shows the bearing with the new number.
Sorry guys just wanna make sure I get it right.
It's likely that the number has been superseded to M, if that's what VW say.
