Do you guys have just a rear muffler, or a resonator further forward too?
    Cheap, Fast, Reliable. Choose two.

Mine is just the stock muffler.

Was very happy with the car's performance at happy laps today...seem to hold boost a bit better. I got the check engine light after the laps so I'm guessing it's related to the down pipe (exhaust sensor?).

I had the computer and vag com cable with me, could have scanned and cleared it for you. I'm on the south side if you wanted it cleared over the weekend.

Most likely the cat efficiency code, would be smart to confirm that but I'll be back next weekend.

Thanks Sean. Light appeared on the way home so wish it happened while I was there! Just confirming that this is the check engine light (pic borrowed from google):

The manual says this is the "exhaust gas warning light"?

Yeh it's the check engine light. No idea why it's called that in the book.

Buy a obd2 Bluetooth bit and torque app. Run checks in the go. Makes it super easy. Well it did for me atleast.

Ok cool - I was using the erwin manual (download from VW) - maybe its different.

I'll try and catch Sean this week to make sure it's nothing more sinister - but you're right, time to get something I can use to check it out.
