I suggest you buy the current Motor magazine. It has a tyre test. The semi-slick performance tyres dont give any advantage in wet conditions.

Wet weather grip king is the Goodyear F1.

Yep, seen it, the Goodyear may do the job in the wet but it looks cr@p .....

I remember about 2 years ago the Goodyear F1 D3GS (or something like that) totally cleaned up the tyre tests, wet and dry, and it looks awesome ... was planning on that for my new RS6 lookalikes on the way ....

I can vouch for the F1 GSD3s they are great tyres - even better are the F1 Asymmetrics - though not sure if you can get them in the size yr chasing

it's all about how you drive. If i'm not careful I can easily spin the wheels in the mk 1 and audi, neither have heaps of power. But if i drive carefully, no such issues.

I've heard/read the stock conti's are bad, but unless they're complete rubbish, I wouldn't bother, imo. Doesn;t rain that much as it is Can't be worse than silica based 155's on a ford laser! hah

i dunno about you guys, my car barely wheelspins in the wet, when it does, traction control takes care of it
