I've been scouring the world wide web for some indication of what a chipped GTI may be running a 0-100km/h time in. I've come up with nothing. If anyone out there knows, some info would be great?
Cheers all![]()

i've just done a bit of looking around at small car figures (astra SRi turbo, XR5 turbo, golf GTI, 3 MPS, Megane Sport 225 CUP, Clio Sport 182 CUP etc.) and judging by the 0-100 that these cars are achieving, keeping in mind that the Polo GTI is much lighter than all these (besides the Clio), it would seem that a 0-100 time of between 6.8sec - 7 sec would not be unreasonable or unachievable. would anyone agree?

oh and keeping in mind that the 130kw/235Nm Polo GTI Cup Edition claims a 7.5sec 0-100, whilst a chipped Polo GTI pulls 152Kw/328Nm.
6.5 -> 6.8 sounds about right.

With chip (and decent hook up) you should get 6.25 - with a few mods post chip, 5.75 (and lower) is achievable, depending on conditions and how good you are behind the wheel.
I was under the impression a couple gti pog owners on here had gtec's, after apr flash their cars were down in the low 6 second mark.
It certainly feels that way.
GTI. Leather.
tint,Eibach pro-kit,Whiteline adjustable swaybars,Forge s/brace,BMC,Forge T.I.P & D.V, Cupra R, APR. EBC & 3''dump pipe
Not sure how reliable the gadget I had was but got 5.4.
i would say ard high 6s or low 7s.
dun trust factory speedo though, as its abt 10% out
Gtechs can be out - a lot depends on how well calibrated they are and the ability (and honesty) of the user to control for inacuracies, eg down hill, rolling starts. I spent a significant amout of time getting mine right, including running it against drag strip timers to verfiy its accuracy. ..so you guys want to know my absolute best 0-100 ??? (not telling ha ha ha).
