yep you're right - mine is an 8.0. It may just have a sensor then. Tomorrow night I go hunting for that little sucker. If it is in there the next step will be how to fool the ecu into thinking the car is is experiencing no G's. you're a legend!

previously in this thread after a tip off from Sean I'd found that if you unplug the brake pedal switch, you can left foot brake without the throttle cut coming in. Problem was it also meant your brake lights stopped working.
The 4 pin plug has two 12 v feeds, i figured one for the brake lights and one for the ESP system. Thinking the other two wires were the switched wires I cut them one by one and tested. I was hoping to just knock out the circuit that would allow me to left foot brake but retain the brake lights, but it wasn't to be. Seems the only way to get left foot braking is to unlug the brake switch which kills your brake lights and makes it street illegal.

lol, love your perseverance. I just emailed my tuner and told him what I wanted and he sent back a new file to load. 3mins later and I'm a happy camper.

I'd have thought for your application (hill climbs and time trials), brake lights wouldn't be needed.

ha ha Yeah baby sitting an empty factory like a Homer Simpson on new years day will make you look for things to do. Everything is safely soldered back to factory now.
Funnily enough at the hillclimbs even though I'm in road reg class they have never been checked once. But then at the rallysprint scrutineering they did check them even though there was no road registered class. I could still do my runs with it unplugged though - no one would notice. I really was hoping this would work so I can practice LFB everywhere I go so that its instinctive on the track. At the hillclimbs you get so little actual seat time and its 10/10ths on tracks that are pretty friggin dangerous if you bugger up that I wouldn't really want to be experimenting on the go.

You probably need to get a track to practise it, I use LFB to balance the car before tiping into faster corners (get a little weight transfer over the front on tip in), to tighten my line in lower speed corners, or on exit to lock up the diff if it's spinning too much. I'd be surprised if there's many places on the street you can truly experience the feel with minimal risk to yourself or others.
