So if i was going to mount the probe directly into the cast exhaust manifold which fitting option do you recommend?

I ordered the 1/8 NPT Fitting only because there was a "Metric Male M12x1.5 To 1/8 NPT Female Fitting" converter readily available.

If you are going to install your own bung, then I am not sure if there are any advantages engineering wise with any of the other available fittings.

Question for our engineers out there. Maybe just order a fitting that is common for temp probes.
