They misidentified the model of my trade in.

They quoted me a price at the low end of the trade in allowance for a vehicle travelling around 50 000 km, mine had done about 17000km.

When I told them that was not enough they insulted me.

They said they would call back on Monday. No word yet. I think they think they are letting me sweat however you folks have persuaded me to go back to Osborne Park to have another look.

My wife has persuaded me to have another look at the Golf Comfortline. So between you all you have talked me out of the Polo anyway.

Good luck on the buy, but I fail to see how we talked you out of buying the Polo...Giving dealer feedback...Yes, saying that the Polo is a bad car...No...At the end of the day, its your money though.
Why not look at selling your current car privatly. You will more than likely get more than the trade in figure, and then you could buy an awesome Polo GTI, not a common as Commodores Golf.

i've had terrible experiences with both osborne park and john hughes. if i had to choose one of them, i'd go for john hughes. but really, try wangara - i have never dealt with wangara, but surely they'd be better than the other two. good luck.

    Cool

    update on dealer antics....

sourced 17" rims on the forum..was give a 'key' and 20 nuts from seller...all good

Had the John Hughes fit whilst it was getting serviced...their wheel man decided to use some other nuts (of varying lengths!)

Found out today that the key i have doesn't fit and the muppet didn't supply one that did...Repco and Supercheap had nothing to help the situation.

Now i have to book the car into tyre joint...plan on getting complete set of new nuts and A KEY in case i have to fit the stock spare due to flat

    Epic John Hughes fail
