i'd stick to the date or km part of the service... usually quoted 15000kms OR 12 months (or similar) ... reason being some things deteriorate over time also and not just the ks you do on it. big ones are timing belts.

Is it an official VWA extended warranty or a dealer extended warranty?
When I was dealing with McGrath Liverpool, they offered a dealer extended warranty. One of the conditions of that extended warranty was that after the first six months, they needed to perform an oil change every 6 months or 7500km.

Yes after the 3year warranty that you do a service every year to get the extra years you service it at the dealer every 6 months .I dont do many km a year and i would like to only service once a year.It is the warranty i got at the time i bought the car.at sutherland.Do you think i should service the car after 3 years from the dealer or can i get it done cheaper or better elseware.
Mate, you can get it done cheaper than the dealer at alot of places, and most of the time there is no difference that doing a dealer service. There are guys on the forum here who specialise in servicing VAG Vehicles around Sydney(like Golf Loon), or you could have a look at ABS Service Centers, Ultra Tune, or Repco Service Centers. I only go to the VW Service Centers if I have a warranty issue.
