Dashlights & Cluster Lights STOPPED Working

    Hi,

    I have a VW Polo 1.9ltr TDI 2007 model.
Today my lights stopped working on the dash (heater controls), door panels and on the cluster. The AC and recycle air lights work (orange) only. So now when driving in dark I can not see anything.

Has anybody had the same problem or a fix it solution?

Yes...I have checked every single fuse in the fuse box (3 times) and not one is burnt out!!!

As the car is still under warranty should i give VW a call and explain the problem and will this be under warranty?

Any help or comments would be much appreciated.

Light switch springs to mind there mate. The feed for the dash illum comes from this switch (Grey/blue wire). Feeds the dimmer switch. If the feed is there then it could be the reostat in the dimmer.

    GOT IT WORKING!!!!!

Pulled out the light switch and plug and then placed back in and everything is back to normal. Most certainly a loose contact however once you mentioned light switch it was probably the only things i haven't tried and it worked.

New to the Forum and appreciate the help...Thanks.
