Daam It was Cold this morning !!! 4 degrees

    Hey all...

I jumped in my car this morning to warm her up, while I was getting ready for work. After about 10mins, I jumped back in and started driving.

I noticed this funny symbol where the Clock ect.. is.
It baffeled me for a while, so I stoped and took a good look at it, it was in Temp mode and was displaying 4 Degrees..I'm like F@*K Me, I new it was cold, but 4 degrees...DAAAAMMM.

Now the symbol I was talking about was a little "SNOW FLAKE.." Now isn't that nice...These engineers at VW have to much time on their hands to design in such an Icon to be displayed. It stayed on until it hit 7 degrees.

I wounder what Icon comes up when it's extremly Hot..I have seen the temp get to 45 in the summer.

So to sum this up.... That is the lowest I have seen it.
Whats the lowest or highest you have seen it.

PS..I live near Castle Hill in Sydney.. not in the mountains or any remote area..

    Regards MR-GTI

It was 7.5 when I was turning onto the M2 this morning. Damn 2nd gear just disappears so quickly when its cold.

The 'snow flake' is meant to be a black ice warning i believe. When I first saw it I thought it was very thoughtful

I always see it on the way home from work (5-6am)... I think the coldest I've seen it is 2 degrees, but not sure...

VW have had this feature since the Mk4s were released and comes on at 4 degrees to warn of possible ice on the roads.

I was going to test people's knowledge and ask how many had heard and knew what the 3rd "Bing" warned of, but now you know. As well as the snowflake, you should also get the same audible warning as for the fuel light and the TPMS light

Does anyone know how much diff the intercooler makes ? Its clear just how much the Polo (any turbo for that matter) loves the cold air, there would have to be some good benefit in this.
