    Control arm and calipers

    Hey guys,
I got my GTI serviced last week at a dealer. They said that my aftermarket calipers (Alcon 4 pistons) touch the control arm at or near full steering lock. They could tell as there was a touch of red caliper paint on the control arm.
Is this going to cause any problems? I still have the original brakes if I need to change them back.
    Any advice appreciated.
    Cheers

How often do you use full lock at speed? Just don't use full lock.

That's what I thought too. Probably only in driveways and when parking.

Make sure the red paint is gone when you go through rego. If they can't see it's touching they won't ask you to take them off.

Have you had a look at it yourself? If its barely touching then you should get away with it. But over time it may cause problems...

I'm gonna take the wheel off this week sometime so I'll have a look. I haven't felt or heard anything whilst driving so hopefully it barely touches. Plus the mechanic didn't seem too worried.
