or is it a case of 15-20mm lowering springs in the gti as opposed to stock?

    cheers!
According to the H&R catalogue, springs for the Polo Gti lowers it by 35mm. So I'm assuming another 35mm from the already lowered Gti over standard Polos.

Well thats just it. What are you comparing the roll to?

I think for a hatch, it is pretty good. Comparing it to a sports car or vehicle worth much more isn't really a comparison is it...

just be cautious with any lowering. most insurance policies will only allow a certain drop.

check with your policy/provider, becuase if you exceed the limit, your insurance company will be more than happy to reject a claim on a technicality

The definition on policies is 'legal modifications' so anything is ok as long as no part of your car is less than 10cm from the ground. (apart from wheels I guess).
