    Close windows using key

My mate has a 2002 Golf GTI with sunroof. When he locks his car, if he holds down the lock button the key fob it will automatically close all the windows and sunroof.

I have a MY07 Polo GTI (no sunroof) and I don't have this function to close the windows using keyfob. Is this only available on the Golf's? Or only if you have a sunroof?

    Thanks

That working on all my Golf. I had MK3 VR6 with sunroof, MK4 no sunroof and now MK5 no sunroof. All working but i have no idea for Polo - should be same.
When you open door try to keep pressing open button or try unlock manually with key and kep key in unlocked position until all window open.

Has to do with the control module, should be feasible, but I remember someone trying, unable to.

Not all VW's are built equally, some have a good power to weight ratio, others have creature comforts.

There are control elements that can be adjusted through Vagcom, like how many blinks the indicator does when you tap the indicator in one direction, etc. You could ask a dealer, they'd probably do it for your first born.

fuzion used to import the KVW100 ODB dongle which would apply a one shot update to the comfort center (not accessible via VCDS) to enable the remote window functionality but he said it was hit and miss if it would work on a Polo (the dongle was designed for the lower spec MkIV Golf).

It works on polo, but you have to use the key manually and keep it in unlocked or locked position.
