In spite of people's desire to avoid it, the proper use of cognitive dissonance can be a useful tool in overcoming conflict. Cognitive dissonance is a basic tool for education in general. Creating dissonance can induce behavior or attitude change. By creating cognitive dissonance, you force people to react. In other words, a child can be encouraged to learn by creating dissonance between what they think they know and what they actually do -- drawing attention to the fact that they know stealing is wrong even though they took a cookie, etc. The same idea can be used in adults. By introducing cognitive dissonance (pointing out the conflict between what people know and do), we can encourage a change in thought or action.

I'd be worried if they didn't but hey I'm not a lecturer...
All the same, Robin ... thanks for sharing. (Now ... where's the yawn icon?)

cognitive dissonance is a broad topic......i was referring to it as a point of 'post-purchase dissonance' (the whole "i bought this, but hey, should i have bought that....dammit")....AKA cognitive dissonance.

so then, leaving the long words aside....let us know how your free trial goes (if you are going to get one that is)

    Cheers,

thanks guys for the help I will get to it once i have some time. I'll try to get the trials back to back and will try my best to explain my experience with as much detail and as little bias as possible. I think i might let the car do another 1000ks just for things to smoothen up a bit. And thanks again guy.

Hey guys, thought I should add some information in regards to trial software.
You might not be aware, but trial software is only a taster... it typically runs at 80% of the full software (if that) and doesn't always have the adjustability the full code does. It's certainly not a comparative tool.
The idea behind it was to expand the potential market; offer trial to people that would never consider 'tuning' their car!
So you're aware Revo offer a 30day money back on all software, and the software would be setup to suit your car, fuel quality and conditions.
    Hope this helps.
