    Chinese made SAI any experience?

    Hi all

my SAI has the turbo jet noise on cold startup. I know I can ignore it even when the pump finally does fail (been making the noise for over 1 year now still no warning light)

Anyway I know my options are SAI delete or replace the pump which if I go for genuine makes the SAI delete a cheaper option.

However I would just replace the pump keep my car stock and found this chinese made aftermarket SAI pumps on amazon for total cost of around $155 delivered which is not too bad.

    Link:
Amazon.com: Secondary Air Pump 022959253A For VW Eos GOLF V Audi A3 TT 3.2 V6 Polo IV 1.8 GTI: Automotive

Has anyone had experience with these chinese made pumps? This could be my best option cost wise. Comes with a one year warranty I figure whats to lose?

My part number is 022959253 but this has an A on the end 022959253 but under OEM it has four part numbers it replaces including 022959253 so it seems to be compatible. Also it seems part number 022959253 got superseded by 022959253A anyway so it definitely should be fine..

They are ok, just remember its the combi valve that has caused it though, ive mentioned this heaps on SAI thread. The combi valve sticks and lets in o2 from the exhaust and corrodes the insides of the pump thus doing its bearing to the point where it will fail. Combi valve, gasket AND the pump as you have mentioned

Combi valve from a BJX motor:

    Part # 06A 131 085 N

BJX / 06A 1.8T motor parts (applicable to all 1.8T motors)

Let me know if you want it (via PM).

Shipping would be extra (~$20). Based in Melbourne.

There is a gasket between the cylinder head and combi valve. It's not a hard thing to make out of some diy gasket paper. It's not the head gasket.

Ecs tuning doesnt have an option to select polo as the model. Does it have a different name in the US? TA

No Polo's in America officially. That's why there's no selection.

You shouldn't need that gasket, as there's no need to take the mount off the head. The combi valve is on top of the pillar.

    Tuned? GTI?
Bypass and get CC to kill the code and get more power.
