    Car damage :(

Hey guys, had my graze in my Pogo today

Car was still in 1st gear while parked in the garage, I didn't know... I leave the handbrake off since the garage is perfectly flat inside, and i like to let the brakes cool Anyway, I started it up, and the car bumped into the a shoe shelf. The bumper surrounding the rego plate is cracked a bit. Does anyone know how much they are? How much would a dealer one be?

Go back to your dealer and put on a puppy dpg face and ask them for another surround. If they try and charge you tell them to go jump and you waont be taking your car back there for servicing again.

The other two. Leave them there to remind you to use your hand break!

I removed my dealer plates as soon as possible. I don't see the need to give free advertising to them. Maybe i'm selfish.

Either way, i wouldn't be paying for them... tell them they can give you another one, or you can remove both, it makes no difference to you... i'm sure it makes a difference to them.

I'm scared of doing this every time I start my car in my garage. There is a set of shelves just in front and the middle of my car faces the corner of an upright post.

no offence, but it did sound like you were actually worried about accidentally launching into your garage, which would be a bit of a worry for someone with a manual.

Yeah, well I've been driving 5 years and never had a car jump forward from starting it. Never had an auto either. I only care cos my car is basically my life atm, no extra money so it's my entertainment and my transport.
