    Capless refuelling

Just bought and installed a capless refuelling fuel filler replacement cap. Took a little fiddling around to get it right as it came with several length tubes but finally got it right. Kinda useful in a way but really only got it for the following reasons:

    1. Sounded fairly cool to have and don't need to unscrew the fuel filler cap (not that it takes much effort anyways).

    2. Our new Ford Fiesta Zetec comes with a capless refilling system from factory and found it usefull and wife loves the idea.

    3. Interested in the product casue it was advertised in the Wheels mag I was reading whilst on the throne one cold morning. LOL

Anybody else got one of these installed? Thoughts?

Does look cool. Had to laugh at this bit though:

    "Environmentally friendly

The self–closing lid of the EasyCap reduces the amount of petrol fumes that escape while refuelling, cutting down on pollution and helping to protect the environment"

I wonder how much environmental damage manufacturing them from petroleum based materials makes as opposed to the fumes that won't escape when they are used... I reckon it would be a looooooong return on that investment!

Pretty cool but a bit pricey. Wonder if the normal thread type comes in red

If I lost my cap (not that i can unless I break the rubber attachment) I would consider, but otherwise.... I don't get it.

I only got them cause I thought it would be a cool fad. And because they're supposedly made in Germany, hence I bought it. The power of advertising eh?

I suppose it is handy if you just want to splash and dash into your local petrol station like a race car .... but it's not that hard to undo the cap !
