Cancel Service Interval Reminder

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm trying to zero the service reminder in the speedo, but, following the instructions in the manual gets me nowhere, unless I'm missing something subtle.

Press the trip knob, turn on the ignition, turn knob to the right etc.

Are you holding down the reset button as you turn ignition on? If not try that.

Yes, holding it down ok, but then the instruction is to turn it to the right. Problem is, it won't turn right (or left) unless I release it, and then that just adjusts the time.
