    can anyone recommend a mechanic around Sydney CBD/East/North shore

    that can replace an automatic transmission in a VW Polo ?

    this is for a girl at work who owns a VW Polo and the poor girl has had problem after problem with her car.

    she now is up for replacing her auto transmission and got quoted $3500 - i am sure someone on this forum can recommend someone cheaper and reliable.

    all help and feedback will be greatly appreciated.

    Try Jade auto repair center. It is not quite CBD of Sydney, but it's about 10mins south of it (via South Cross drive). I did my last service there, and had my car repaired from them (Due hail damage) and I have been happy with them.
