    cam shafts

has anyone on here upgarded there cam shafts? was just curious. some of them from this site http://www.intengineering.com/Cat-Ca.../sc262362-1-2/ have some interesting options. some of them produce more power at top end which could be usfull, while im guess at a sacrafice to low end torque, which could help with wheel spin. any thaughts? oh and incase people are wondering i know ther for mark 4 golfs but id asume the 1.8t cam shafts would be similar/same.

Well according to the website it says if you plan to get a bigger turbo then its useful.... I assume with the current cams its tuned for the K03 as much as it can?

    I'm using the 3651.

The engine revs faster and develops more power at hi-rpm.

Check out my Polo's thread, there you will find dyno charts, after and before the cams.

Be good to see some figures after these cams are done as im sure our good friend plautos knows if you go too agressive on cams you can bleed off compression, and lets face it compression is the key. This of course can be dealt with buy changing the structure of the piston or decking the block.
    Functionality is another thing.
Interesting thread to be started here guys good work

Yeah Jimmy, great points! I just looked at Mikes link and it says there are 3 different hydraulic grinds, 2 very aggressive by the sounds of things and the other one more mild and street friendly which are the same as Plautos 3651's

By my calculations about $780-800 delivered to OZ.
