    Broken Side Window

Some dirty tip rat decided to smash the window on my polo early this morning and steal my tom tom. This is particualry annoying as it is currently for sale due to impending delivery of my golf gti.

Quick question: Is O'Brien ok to fix the window? has anyone had this experience? the windows are not tinted, will they be the same colour as OEM? I tried to book it into my dealer but they couldnt do it to the 28th.

    Cheers

normally they will get the VIN number of your car and order the glass from VW in a matching factory tint so there shouldnt be any probs there.

What a dirty rat... same thing happened to me in my Peugeot.

I don't know about the the same colour on the window... but a word of advice, whoever you get to do it make sure they vacuum inside the door trim and get all the broken pieces of glass. I had to bring the Peugeot back 2 or 3 times to get rid of all the glass or else each time you close the door you can hear the little pieces trapped inside.

Have you tried another VW dealer?

I just had it repaired by O'Brien, the window doesnt have volkswagen prinited on it, but the tints are exactly the same.

I ended up using O'brien because they came to my work, with in 2 hours of calling and were able to send invoice directly to QBE so i didnt end up paying a cent.(excess free).

The bloke vacuumed the whole back of the car where i hadnt got around to yet, and cleaned all the glass out of the seat tracks so the seat works again.

    Top service.
