    Gear Knob

Anyone else ever have a slightly loose gear knob? As in it rotates a little from left to right (think putting a lid on/taking a lid off a bottle). Probably only 2 or 3mm of play.

Will get it fixed at service.

So far, my only problem (where's some wood.)

Oh, except for a constant mild pulling to the left. I've read a post where this is a common problem and not easily fixed. Interesting to see if the dealer can fix it.

I belive it would be very similar to the MK4 golf.

Have a look here might give you an idea.

To get to the boot it may be an option to remove the plastic surround:

I can't believe we're talking bout getting 2-3mm of rotation on the gear knob fixed. I've had this since day dot and never considered it being a problem, in fact I mind myself twisting it whilst sitting in traffic, keeps the boredom down

I have considered changing gear knob as well.

Actually it's probably only about 1-2mm. (wheres the embarrased icon).

Yes - being a chronic fiddler I play with mine too.

Maybe I should leave it - just don't want it to get worse.

Yeah agreed, if twisted half way round I'd be concerned.
