Your yellow tint oil i suspect is tranmission oil. I think a driveshaft flange seal leaking there. No hesitance should be taken by the dealer to replace that. They should have such a thing in stock depending on which side it is the part number will be for an 02J box even though yours is 02R that part is exactly the same.
Good luck and i hope it doesnt put you off , so much fun to be had
    Cheers

hmmmm Jmac could be right because it's unlikely for BOTH CV joints to fail at the same time in a brand new car. as long as your car is stock, the VW dealers won't give you any trouble.

    Thanks guys,

To answer jesum, the car is going on one month old, and is bog standard.

The reason I am a bit apprehensive about taking it back to the dealer is that when the problem first arose, I took it there and described what had happened. They took it into workshop and said they put it up on the hoist to check the underside, and the head meachanic said there was not one sign of an oil leak, or any other problem upon inspection. As mentioned previously, I found the oil/leak straight away. I just want to know why did they bull**** to me?

This is why I am a little hesitant about the dealer acknowledging there is a definite problem, and fixing it.

Anyhow, thanks again guys. Will keep you posted regarding 1month/1000km service.
