Boat mode
Ok guys, I'm after opinions on a new concern of mine.
Was driving home last night and took a left hand slip lane at normal speed and the gti understeered like a royal pig and then the rear end went all wobbly thereafter.
Took some more lefty's and the problem was still there. The right handers seem to be 'less bad' but still not confidence inspiring. Currently on a set of AP coilovers that Noone used to run, so I can only assume they're 2-4 years old. The rears are maxed out and the fronts still have room to go lower. I've checked all tyre pressures and wheel bolts and all appears normal. Short of having a late night feel of the rear shocks for weeping I can't put my finger on it just yet.
My concerns are possibly a rear bush of some sort has gone, but other than that I'm stumped.
Worth noting, I picked up a mate last night and when she was in the passenger seat - problem gone.
Yes, it's one of the lowest static Polo's getting around at the moment, but bear in mind it's had the same setup for over a year now, so I don't care to hear about how my control arms are pointing upwards blah blah, it's been perfectly drivable for a long time now.
