    Bilstein B12

    Hello all,
I'm driving a Polo GTI 2008 and I'm planning to upgrade my suspension to Bilstein B12.But from the Bilstein website, they mentioned that B12 is not meant for GTI,but other Polo variants. Is it true?
Anybody here using this suspension for their GTI's?How's the result?Care to share the review?
Been scouting the forum but not much result found..
    Thanks

B12 is the same as H&R springs on B8s --

I believe Stuwey got the B12s not long ago. Mozzy_2000 has the H&Rs with B8s as does Chipped and Ben_GTI.

More than likely others have them too, but that's all I can remember off the top of my head. A quick search of h&r and b8 within the Polo section brings up a fair few hits; lots of skimming is required, but there is quite a bit of info there.

Yes affirmative to the above. The B12 kit is the B8 struts with bilstein/H&R kit springs. I bought the kit and instead of the B12 springs I used the specific GTI 35MM H&R springs bought separately. The springs with the B12 kit could still be used but they don't lower the rear as much as the GTI 35MM springs do however the front springs are identical in size. I have been told though that the GTI H&R springs have a different progressive rate from the B12 kit springs and this is why they are advertised for the other non-GTI models.
