BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Tyres???
Hey guys, suddenly need a new set of tyres since the rears are worn unevenly and are making an annoying thump thump thumping noise at low to moderate speeds. I've currently got dunlop sp sport maxx 205/40/r17's and not too happy about the road noise either. Thought I might go for a completely new set of tyres but most of the michelins or bridgestones are out of stock and I can't wait til next week so was recommended a set of BF Goodrich g-Force sport tyres. Have anyone had any experience of these? How's roid noise levels, wet, dry and cornering grip and longevity like?
Cheers in advance guys. Gotta make a decision by tomorrow 8am. Sucks when time and cash is the limiting factor.

I had these on my standard VR6 wheels, they were put on by the previous owner in March last year and I purchased the car in August. They were practically brand new with pretty much all tread still on, and I was extremely pleased with them. Great grip wet and dry, practically no road noise at all, tread hadn't worn out at all in the 18 months or so they have been on the car even with a few hard canings, no complaints
Unfortunately my (now ex-)mechanic put Maxxis tyres on some wheels I asked him to chuck on while I was getting the clutch done.. And they're far below sub standard. Good god how I hate life right now with those tyres. The BFG's could probably be considered as track tyres in comparison!

Thanks for the feedback. Its nice to get some local/Australian feedback on these tyres. I've done some reading up on these tyres and so far so good but was wondering about road noise and longevity etc. I guess I'll go with these tyres and try them out as the dunlops are driving me nuts with country rough road driving causing the road noise. These BF Goodrich tyres are much cheaper than the dunlops and any other decent branded tyres too at $175 each and having them in stock at Jax tyres compared to the $239-$268 for the dunlops which no one seems to have on hand.
Cheers and thanks all in advance for the advice and feedback.

Well, got the tyres fitted today and very happy with them so far. Definately less road noise than the Dunlops. Only problem is that's got me pissed off today (although acting very calm and reasonable) they put a dent and scratch on my rims. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
Why does this happen to me everytime I take my car to a workshop? The first time it went to a tyre centre, my brand spanking new rims got scratched and now that it's time to change tyres, they get scratched again(at a different place)!!!
The only consolation was they quickly offered to fix it without much questioning (as my wheels were covered in brake dust so they tried to blame it on that covering the scratch). Man it just bugs me!!!
