    Beetle 1.8T

What do we think of the beetle 1.8T?

Does it have the ability to fit some better tyres/wheels for traction? With the same mods they would be about as fast as the Polo Gti?

Im thinking of getting one and doing it up good and proper.

Do we know of any issues with these cars.

A chick I knew had one with 1.8T and said she had nothing but problems with it.

My sister had one and loved it, although said it was too small. I am sure many things can be done to upgrade them, but not so sure I would want to.

Each to their own I suppose.

full respect for thinking outside the square, though I'd say you would be inviting people to ridicule the hell out of you, regardless if it was capable of 10sec quarters.

I also think the polo would be a much better base for getting serious. more aftermarket bits available and knowledge base.

Why doesnt the Polo Gti have the 1.8T badge on it

    Street Cred and Polo GTi

    Are these cars fast enough??

Are you for real? You think the Polo GTI lacks street yet you think the beetle would make a good car with right mods? I just think you're a massive troll and looking to start ****

    Why would you be ridiculed?

It wouldnt have mugen stickers all over it. Just some mods under the hood. Otherwise stock looking..

I dont think they look too bad.

Floody, stop being an arse. First you post someone elses car in my for sale thread saying its better value than mine, I think you are the troll trying to start crap posting links of other threads I started.

Who posts a link to someone elses car in a for sale thread? Grow up Floody.

They are all legitimate threads above, thoughts that I have about the car.

Why does floody get all uptight about a little criticism, outlining the limitations of the car. Do do want me to start a thread "are polos the best thing since Sliced bread?" then floody would be happy.

Please stay on topic or dont post.

You know there are more sections to this forum. Specifically: Mk4 Golf & Bora and New Beetle.
The new Beetle is basically a MkIV Golf but with the Retro body and interior. The 1.8T was offered up until 2005 (read basically a MkIV Golf GTI).
Have a search in here for information you're after and then if you can't find the information you're after. Create a thread there.
    Cheers,
    Trent
