What sort of CAI setup do you have? Is it a sealed system, or is it a pod filter with a cold air feed pipe sending air up towards it.
If it isn't sealed, changing to a enclosed filter + sealed feed (ie. K&N Apollo) should help fix your problems.
A few years a go when I thought I'd be fully sik, I removed my air box and added CAI setup, with the thought I'd one day soon change batteries and feed lots of cold air into it. I'm now wanting to put it all back and see if I can come down from 9.6l/100km. Except my storage has moved a bit and I've lost a lot of the original parts.
Has anyone that did the same and doesn't care to go back to stock, still have their original air box assembly? I went to VW parts and they quoted nearly $500, so I'm hunting down the rest of my storage and some wreckers. Would rather give money to any of you lot then the wreckers though. So please let me know, will try and post a diagram with what I need.
Thanks everyone.
