i too read about this on the uk polo forums. from memory it requires a high flow downpipe and cat plus some kind of intake

i'm surprised you haven't locked this thread dave. these type of threads never end well.

i think the verdict is....all the mentioned brands are going to give you many arousing moments behind the wheel and you will not be dissapointed . the proof is in the pudding - there are several different brands on several different cars on this forum, and i'm sure everyone is more than happy with their.....hence the superiority argument every time this topic comes up.

organise as many free trials as possible and decide what feels the best for your personal driving style. i would be confident in saying that you may not even feel a difference in the different brands. on paper is one thing, on the tarmac is another......remember that.

go with the brand/dealer that you truly believe will give you the on-going support you deserve and is friendly enough to offer you future mod tips and maybe even some good prices on other gear you intend to purchase.

stay away from people who are 'not interested' and are just chasing the cash as they are the ones who will cause your car more harm than good.

    Cheers,
    Rhys

How could I close it, Rhys ... you make perfect sense.

However ... the flaming hasn't really gone too OTT yet ...

If it does ... someone will close it (may not be me).

The UK contacted me about the file (and vice a versa) , to date it has no more proven power output over our stage 1 version & it may actually have some negatives (in power & driveability). I believe they are doing some more work on it, but until we see a positive from it, we won't release it or even schedule it for local testing.

If we need local test cars, we can get several & have testing done in a week!

Spoke to the UK last night & its still a test file.

It seems that the car really needs a full exhaust, intercooler and A HIGH FLOW INTAKE to work with thios file.

If we have time on Saturday, we might be able to do a bit of Testing & jury Rig an intake to test the software on the dyno!

Yeah good idea - give it a go!

Just curious, what is the rationale for developing the new file anyway? ..exhaust temps, timing, fuel consumption, ...or 95ron fuel issues in the UK???

Then .... will it work on Eddy's car ? I'm sure he'd be up for the test ..... provided he can keep it afterwards ...

What is the definition of highflow intake as far as you're concerned Guy ?

That's still using the stock airbox so it can't be classed as HIGH FLOW.

HIGH FLOW is CDA, Pipercross Viper or Modshack.
