Yeah, on the track, unless you have a habit of stopping... you drive the car where the power band lies.
If your going down the straight, revving out each gear, your revs would be between 4500-6000rpm most of the time in the Version 1 Power zone..
It does have pretty short gearing so you wont be in the V2 power zone for very long but up top where it peters off.
I think if you drive you car at half throttle all the time zipping around town V2 is better but if you like to open her up on the highway or the drags and go to redline V1 would be quicker.

the 5,000rpm+ drop off doesn't affect me anyway.... i have the SEAT intake pipe and BMC filter.... stays solid the whole way through .

I had the seat intake, BMC and APR downpipe and noticed the drop off in power. Mid range it was very strong but top end it just turned out the lights.
To me it felt like being in the shower and the water suddenly turning off. I noticed it a fair bit.
I went back to APR V1 for that reason..
each to their own i s'pose.

That dyno was done with TIP & BMC CAI intake.
APR V1, TIP etc, FMIC & Downpipe for me added all the low down power of V2 but with topend of V1. Last dyno I did made max power @ 5100rmin same as V2 but almost no drop off till 6500rmin. Dropped only 2kw atw between 5100 and 6200rmin ......
So I had the best (or worst) of both worlds .... wheelspin in 2nd gear whilst rolling past 5000rmin .....

Why do you guys wanna rev out your cars much past 5k anyway?
if peak power can be made lower down in the rev range, why not go for it? its gotta be better for the engine.
Quicker or slower the V1 suits me better. The top end compliments my breathing mods as well as my breathing mods building up the mid range comparable to V2..
I had the Downpipe, SEAt intake and BMC filter and with V2 I noticed the top end die off in V2..
