will the CUP edition is exactly the same as our GTI except with a retune isnt it? VW sell that with a warranty so i doubt you will wear you GTI out on an aftermarket tune from the main 3 three... but that will depend on how you drive it too if your going to to thrash the crap out of it tune or not it won't last long.

If you're really worried you could always just switch back and forward... but I doubt you will once you have it

    It's only 132kw rather than 152.

But yeah, it won't be ruining your car, takes a lot more than that to kill this engine.

You also must remember, this engine has been around for like 15years being tuned.

I am coming up on 22months chipped. On all the time, though I only use the car on weekends now, I was using everyday for the first year.

I only ever switched to get it serviced or once to let my wife drive it who promptly complained....

Funny about this...once I got chipped I said to myself..every Friday I am going to drive without the upgrade ie: standard Gti to appreciate what the car CAN do...tried it once..never going back....

Well driving it with APR, I plan to change up about 3000rpm with moderate acceleration but by the time i think about changing it just takes off a that point and its about 4000-4500 rpm..

The boost comes on real early...

My old XR6 Turbo days... put the boot in... put the kettle on, make a cup of tea, then drink it and then about then the boost would come on... it come on like a volcano errupted..

The polo comes on real early... nowhere near as hard but equally as enjoyable...

The XR6 I used to think everytime I booted it... geez its fast but somethings just gotta give... (gearbox, cv joints)

Polo its just nice, it feels like it will hold together..

If you have a look at Evos and WRX they are the same they come in at about 3000rpms and then boost not like the polos where the turbo comes on early and stays all the way through

depends who you are with. best to just ask. with mine its unlimited mods aslong as i tell them, and premium only goes up if i want the mods added on to the value of the car.
