Its just a plug in programable Tune...No soldering required.
Does the apr ecu upgrade require chip soldering or is it a computer re flash via diagnostic port i looked at the apr site and it talks about chip and solder .I had a 2004 forester and got mrt to do reflash and no soldering so can some one confirm which way the polo gti is done and how they change the program do they have a extra button installed or is it done like the golf gti using the cruise control stalk button?

No tuner would need to solder anything in your ECU these days.
Gavin
as above , it doesnt take them long. and if wanted a try for a few hours they can do that too.
I went to this site, http://www.goapr.com.au/ and that were i read it i was a little confused .So apr is now a ecu re flash tune then ok .Is giac and custom code the same.?
Like what Gavin Said here...And he deals in Custom Code...
There is no soldering required on the GIAC, Custom Code, APR, and REVO tunes for the Polo GTI.
Why not PM Seb(Bug Racer), as he is a GIAC dealer, and PM Guy, who Is the head APR rep for Australia, as these guys will be able to answer all of your Flash questions, and then some.
