As for Tuning alliances and how tunes work with a car, each car is slightly unique, weather it be a slight boost leak you wouldn't know where to find or a knock sensor being a little too sensitive, each car responds slightly differently.

The only Viezu tuned 9N3 GTI's ive read about didn't do anything interesting in terms of power. Not sure what to make of the ability to customize it infinitely, they don't code locally (UK based) if I remember correctly. Send a log, get a new file. Play. If its not acting up, there isn't that much to do, once boost is maxed, timing is as high as timing pull / detonation allows then thats about all there is... I've talked to a lot of tuners about getting more from my Polo, most say don't bother (changing from APR to another brand).

As for upgrade paths, if you're sold on a Miltek, then do it. If you can be swayed, buy a big ass turbo with that same money and get a lot more power (Advice from Bugracer).

I like the Seat / THS intercooler, cheaper and better (even Forge sell it)

Lots of opinions, there is no right and wrong, you have people who will tell you what they have is best and you have people who have years of experience (I'm neither of these, more of a keyboard warrior).

    Good luck.

Feel free to keep asking, people get pissy with these threads as the question comes up frequently across all turbo models and the debates can get heated (my tune's better than your tune because X)

If you want to be told what to do, get CC. If nothing else, you can slag Gav all the time on this build thread if you don't like it!
Wow, i didnt mean to offend people, if it was about an APR, GIAC or Revo tune id understand why people are ragging, but there is really very little info on the viezu for our cars. Even the dealer said he never gets them in. he also said "we don't have much local data on them so I'd like to offer it to you for $799 with a free dyno, and at BMR." which is a great price with everything considered.

i might go with them just for a bit of fun, its going to be my project car after all.

By the way what's a BMR? (dont worry, its the workshop)

If its not getting decent numbers on the dyno (at least 40hp gained as promised) then ill just return it on the spot. Noone, i need new tyres, ive got a quote for $120 per corner for the KU31's and $145 for the KU39's. I just want something that going to reduce the wheel spin on lunch any ideas from the keyboard warrior?

I am the oldest dealer for Viezu nowdays, and I reckon Gav and Custom Code have the Polo's pretty well sewn up. APR is definately strong there too, but hard to beat Gav's prices! It comes down to the car, I know where Viezu is strong, and where it isn't. Same as other tuners, we all hear inside gossip on each other! No doubt Viezu UK, just like Custom Code UK, Superchips / Bluefin UK, DNA UK, Revo USA, APR USA, etc etc etc could tweak a tune to be as good, but at times a particular brand has it sorted, so from a customers perspective, why be the test dummy?

I am not bagging Viezu at all. I am gobsmacked at what they can do with cars across the brands, and what they can do with some of the NA cars alone is staggering, such as world leading gains out of AMG's and M series beemers etc. I am currently OBD port tuning a doctors Megane RS250, one of the first around to be tuned via OBD, much like a few other world firsts I have under my belt now. There are definate strengths, and despite the fact tuning has to be one of the most opinionated, competitive and downright ugly industries at times, nothing gives me greater satisfaction than getting a late night text from someone who I have just tuned that just exudes pure joy and excitment. After all, that's what it is ALL about!

All tuners flog the same thing, it just comes down to who has spent the time to tweak it to that last 5-10%.

Local support is ALWAYS the biggest thing in my opinion, for if something goes wrong, you need to be able to access local assistance. I won't tune more than a decent drive away, just gets too hard to provide good service.

Stuart at BMR is an excellent Viezu dealer in Sydney whom I have zero hesitation in recommending, but ultimately it's always up to you who you choose, and I totally get that.

I used to rate the KU31's, but they get a little hard at about 1/3 of their life and they wear on the edges easily. Still @ 120 a corner, they are good for the first 10,000k's and by then you'll probably want different rims.

I'm loving the 595 RSR's, but I wouldn't have contemplated them if it weren't for positive reviews from a few Polo buys and great pricing from Perun (has a tyre shop in Sydney Hills district) who was very competitive with pricing and a nice guy.

For me, tyres are about bang for buck, they both tick that box at different prices.

You guys rate the KU31? I recently bought a set to get me through till I finally get mags, and their sidewall is so bloody soft, I get a sort of additional flex drift halfway through corners at quite normal speeds, certainly never felt this before. Straight line, wet, noise, dry, comfort etc they are excellent, and price is incredible, but for a car that corners like a Polo, well, I'd be careful - I want these to wear out asap so I can replace em!! I have them at 40psi currently to try and limit it!

Thanks Greg, I would love a tune with Custom Code, it is by far the most cost effective and recommended tune on here! However from my understanding he operates Interstate? And like you said local support is key. I would rather not be a test subject, so possibly GIAC at $995 or APR at $1062 is a better option. the reason why i stayed away from them is they offered not stage 2 tune for the downpipe, but maybe i should consider rejecting that idea all together and get the k04 turbo.

As Lee says... choice and therefore price point is limited here in WA.

Lets see... there is APR, and... one APR supplier
