It was a part of the overall deal i negotiated, which I was really happy with william. The 'bottom line' purchase price, including the new wheels and the other options asked for, was a signifcant saving overall.

There's nothing worse than a kerbed rim, is there?

The rims are 17"s with Toyo proxes tyres. The jury is still out on the tyres as I haven't travelled far on them yet. So far, so good though.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome to the site. I'm really enjoying checking the place out.

It's a shame we all mostly live in different states.

I was hoping to participate in a Polo GTI cruise.

PS. On a side note I have now clocked almost 1000kms and i must say the GTI feels like its getting better and better by the km!

GTIMK5 was telling me that the engine really gets good at about 30,000k cant wait i have done now 14,300k in 10 months opps o well all good.
