Alternative wire to source ignition from (for HU)

hey guys,

I have a 06 GTI and my cig lighter is always on, the only other conceivable way i can figure of getting an ignition wire signal, is via the little red light on the headlamp switch that comes on when ignition is on..

Any guidance on how to remove the bleeding switch, and even better yet what wire to be chasing?

its that or canbus... hrm?
