Hmm, interesting.
Have you tried turning off the interior microwave sensors?
Hi ive joined this site a while ago but never really posted anything until now i have a polo gti 2006 model fun car to drive but lately im having problems with the standard alarm system.Everytime i lock the car and walk away the alarm triggers and goes off all the doors are shut and no one is near the car its so frustrating anyone has had this same problem im getting it looked at on the 7th of feb which is the closes date i could get but until then i want to fix this myself.
Hmm, interesting.

Are your windows tinted? Windows down? On my previous car I had a motion sensor and had to adjust it more in the heat. Not sure if the sensitivity can be changed on the GTI or not.

try reset ur central locking unit as follow:
1. insert key into driver side door
2. turn to the right and hold, till the window opened
3. turn to the left till window is up
ok thanks i forgot to mention im getting weird readings on my dash as well i get the ABS warning light come on then leave within a minute and also the power steering assist light comes on sometimes when im driveing and i lose all pwr steering ive had the car checked before at vw and they said all is good ill have to just wait toll the 7th.
It happened again today probley 1 min into driveing the Abs and PWR steering lights came flashing on i had no power steering then 5 mins later it went back to normal
Sounds electrical/computer system-ish.
Sounds like an extremely good reason to get this serviced asap.
You don't want your stability control suddenly failing on you in a critical moment.
Dealer time!
call dealer again
its not safe to drive it ard anymore
they should be able to fit u in straight away as its dangerous to drive it
last time my doorlock malfunctioned
called dealer, they told me to come back in 2 weeks
i had a go at them,
then the manager told me to bring the car in straight away
good luck
Just before Christmas I lost power steering temporarily and the dealer fit me in that day to check it out (i'd actually lost ps one other time but didn't tell them about that until the next service). They found a faulty ground on the steering wheel angle sensor and they thought this may have been the cause of it (i actually lost power for a moment before i realised the ps had stopped working but thought it was the traction control kicking in because of my driving. The service tech asked me about it during the test drive which is when i realised it may have been related).
