    Airbox Rattle

I narrowed down an engine bay rattle to the airbox. Seems as if the whole thing is pretty loose, and when the engine moves a bit it then rattles the airbox. Two questions:

    1) Is this normal?

    2) Can it damage anything?

Have you had the air cleaner apart for any reason???? There is rubber mounts on the bax and bracket it sits on. These can easliy come adrift if you dont watch and will make the airbox loose

I have not pulled it apart myself, but it is a recent purchase so maybe the previous owner or mechanic did. I'll take a look and see if there is anything missing. Thanks!

I pulled the airbox out today and it looks like a part is missing. Is there supposed to be a support for the back (firewall) side of the airbox, attached between the slot and the shaft (red arrows)??

Also, on a second note, I noticed a slightly crimped tube that looks a bit off (yellow arrow) thoughts?

The pics will describe it better:

    Thanks!
