    Hoyhoy.

I'll jump in here, all gauged by Extreme Motorsports brisbane.
Kw V3's have a standard spring rate of 176lb on the front.
I've had 400lb for quite some time which is great for the track but created extra bump steer when accelerating on bumps.
Now running 250lb mainly for road use even though the Little Blue Girl doesn't get driven any more, just sits in the garage under cover.
Haven't tracked since last year, the motor bike has taken over my priorities.
    Hooroo.

I'd always assumed that coilovers like V3's would have been stiffer given that they can be taken so low - so as not to bottom out the dampers with so little available travel. But at 176lb/in they're not really far off some of the strut style coils eh.
Jeez 400 lb/in on the front with your mutant front bar must've ridden like a go kart on the street. I couldn't remember how you got your hands on that big front bar. Was that a limited run thing through Guy Harding or a custom job? I'm curious because I might be looking into a custom bigger rear bar soon or maybe modifying the rear beam to get more roll stiffness there but keeping the spring rates the same.

I was thinking I could try this. Its from one of Julian Edgars build blogs. The internal torsion bar is apparently off a 90's corolla and was modified to fit a honda insight rear beam. Our open side faces the tank though so it wouldn't be as accessible as this to work on. Scrutineers wouldn't see it though. he he he.

All I done to get that front bar was to ring Whiteline & ask them to whack one out @ 24mm, they did umm & ahh, but that they could by using the same jigging. To easy.

huh there you go. Obvious I spose - I'd never really thought of asking them if they'd do it. Nice one. Hopefully they can do a fatter copy of their rear bar then and save me doing something irreversible to the beam. thx
