Would a dump pipe from the turbo to cat make much difference in regards to the sound if at all?
He already makes the dump + cat for the polo but that only comes in a full exhaust.
If you can sell that seperatly. That would be awesome.
If you need to do tests and shiz my car is always avaliable

What about back pressure? What have you noticed? For instance, have you gained more mid-range and more up-top but lost a bit down low?
PS be great if you could post some photos of the mod if possible.

Neil, Can't answer the back pressure one, and I think I'll need to get the full data set to answer where the power is accurately, but if you revisit the charts (esp. the Mainline ones)....this may send you cross-eyed ..., you can see that while the curves are very similar, the run with the dump pipe gains its power more rapidly that just the tune run.
It's all over by about 5,300 but the dump makes the progression seem much more linear -- the REVO tune delivers significant surge from 2,500 relative to stock, which you really feel; the dump smooths this a bit but nothing is lost down low. In fact, looking at the torque curve, which peaks at almost 300Nm at 3700rpm, it's above 200Nm all the way from around 2000 until 6. And that's what you feel (and what keeps breaking traction).
I'll try to get a photo this weekend
I don't even know what a dump pipe is but it sounds like an impressive mod. With limited car technical knowledge I'd probably find it easier to go for the full APR system, but since that's ~4 times more expensive I'd probably not...
Yeh I definately dont want any change in sound just improved performance.

Dump pipe is the name for the exhaust pipe from the turbo to the cat(Catalytic converter). It increases the flow of the exhaust gases to the cat.
Cat-back is from the cat to the tip of the muffler.
I have a 3" dump and high flow cat on my car and it does make a different noise.
Turbo spool is slightly louder and has a rougher sound to it (spooling) - Even friends of mine had noticed it.
I found it gives a noticeable increase in midrange (where the turbo is on strongest) and slows the dropoff up top. No real difference to low end power.
