    9N3 GTI DRL's

    Hey guys, just after some opinions on DRL's on the GTI. I have found a set on fleabay that I think will look ok, but I'm just not sure if they really suit the pog? What do you think??

    I have seen them before and I dont really know, first I didnt like them, now I think they might look cool

    Yeah, when I first saw them I thought they looked like a very OEM setup, but in one of the pics they look a little chunky? Haven't convinced myself either way yet though.

    Have been giving the DRL thing some thought lately as well, my only concern is that they may restrict the apeture of the air intake next to the drivers side fog light? Anyone else think this would be an issue?

    I'd be more worried about restricting flow to the SMIC.

    For an aftermarket product they don't look as "chintzy" as I was expecting. Don't look any more out of place than the HSV's and Mercedes running around with them. Audi on the other hand, look awesome.

    Oops, my bad, SMIC was what I meant. I've been thinking of running one along the top slit of the intake, which would cover approx 20-25% of the surface area. What could be adversely affected if I were to do so?

    if you're concerned about airflow, you could drill/cut out sections of it to open it up more.

    DRL Headlights like these i think look good.. just different!

    Not sure on the look of these though. They remind me of funky transformer eyes.
