    9N auto gearknob removal

I would like to ask if anyone out there has any idea on how to remove the automatic 9N3's gearknob (calling PoloGTI). I've obtained a manual gearboot from a 9N2 from the wreckers and was wondering if it was possible to make it look more like the DSG shifters that are on the MkV GTI's. If anyone has any information - it would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks in advance.

You like to do things the hard way, don't you mate!

Interesting, as I have the same set up as you.

I would imagine it's just 1 piece that's attached to a plate below the chrome base.

Willing to hack your car apart?

ROFL. I guess so. I always end up doing small alterations that need a major overhaul. I need to physically remove the gear knob to be able to put the boot on properly. So yeah... If anyone out there knows how - please let me know!
