    75,000km Service?

    Hi all,

Who else has serviced at this interval?

Mine ticked over the 75 mark last night and I will get it serviced in 2 weeks time whilst i'm o/s.

Any idea what I should expect to replace/change/fix?

Feel free to suggest locations [VIC] where I should head for the work? Volkwerke in Greensborough is just down the road - yay or nay?

    Cheers

It's just a basic service... Cost me $220 from VW in Townsville....

Yeah the 75k km service is a basic lube service IIRC. It didn't cost me much - around AUD120 odd - discount FTW!

I have Called Lennock VW in Phillip Canberra to book my 2008 Polo GTI for 75,000km service.
    Got a quote of $490-$510.

    Are they serious?

Why go to a dealers, it's 6 years old? There's at least 2 independents in Canberra that can do that job for you. If you can do it yourself, oil and a filter is well under $100.

Hi Gavin, Could you give me details of those two?
Plus any idea how to reset the wrench icon?

You reset it with VCDS or using the guide in the owners manual. I have VCDS so never press the buttons.

If it's an 08 you'd want to be considering timing belt shortly as its a 7 yr interval.
Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII
    Daily: 2010 VW Jetta Highline
Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI

Drop me a PM if you want a quote mate. As said above 75k service is just a basic oil change and checkover, however you should also be making sure everything else has been taken care of.
