Needs a bit more research for me at this stage..
I've been talking about it with the other half on and off for a while now and I have the missers on side if it ever happens, I love my wife!

If we're getting into the nitty gritty:
The rear end obviously need some fabrication, probably the biggest part of the job getting the geometry right.
The other details I'd like to know center around the gearboxes.
I wonder if the transfer case rear output would line up with the tunnel?
Still need to have a look at an 02R to see if adapting a transfer case is possible.

But the Quattro 02M 6 speeder might be the go, 6 speed and transfer case all in one...

I wonder how much fabrication would cost to get the rear of the car done.
Seems fairly basic to make a frame to hold the whole rear assembly but im sure it is a lot more complicated than that.

If it was under 5K i might think about it

5k would be a 50hr Job assuming workshop charges $100/hr

I reckon it would be double, look at ranton build on His mk2 his spent quite a while getting that r32 floor plan on the car

I reckon the way to go would be to talk to an engineer and talk them through it and even have some drawings and ideas to run past them. If they give you the go, I'd start and tack the rear subframe up myself and get the engineer to give the final draft the nod. Then I'd get someone more skilled to fab it up out of something nice. I think that would take a lot of the cost out...
