lol Kinda hard to explain it in plain english but I'll try my best...
Have you guys ever shifted to 3rd and felt that the 2nd gear wasn't in gear properly before going in to 3rd gear?
For example:
I shift from 1-2 and it's fine; then from 2-3.. my 2nd gear clicks into a slot b4 going into third... would it be problem with my 2nd synchros? everything is fine, no noise - jolts - grinds; just feels like its not in gear properly.
If it happens to you then you should know what I mean sorry for the confusion!
bullseye! thats it..
i should've just said that lol
mine does that two (obviously).. sometimes happens when i put my hand on the gear stick just before changing out of 2nd.
yahuh - now is it one of the gearbox's characteristics or a fault..?
but i dun have this problem "NOW" LOL, but sometimes is really hard to get into the 1st gear, i need to shift into 2nd then i can go back to 1st...

I've had this before - I think it's the first gear lockout failing to disengage sometimes when you coast to a halt in a high gear.
I've not had this problem for a while though - since I've gained more confidence in the car, I've been engine braking and shifting through the gears when slowing down.
I've been engine braking and shifting through the gears when slowing
yup.. that is what i'm doing now... but not before~ LOL

Isn't it better for the car to let the brake pads do the braking?
I'll put clutch in, do the braking, then a quick blip of the throttle with the right side of my foot before engaging 2nd (most commonly). 1st is typically hard to reach, but much easier than in the 02 Honda Civic I had before.
