is it me or do the new polos look a little wider?
Really? you like the back of the current Polo? I think that's that's where the Polo definitely needs some improvement in looks. But each to their own I guess.

Just noticed that the fuel gauge looks to be an electronic display rather than a dial. If it is, I wonder if it'll go down in segments (say eighths or even quarters). We'll have to wait and see I suppose.
I heard a rumour today that they won't be releasing the GTI in Australia? -- Apparently due to poor sales. I hope that's not true.

Well if they don't release the new polo GTI here it will be good for resale value! A shame for those looking to upgrade though, and surprising as I have seen more polo GTIs than any of their competition.

I love it when people come up with such illogical comments. If indeed it is true then poor sales = discounting = worse resale.Well if they don't release the new polo GTI here it will be good for resale value!
I can't see them discounting. They never really have in the past with the GTI (except for the non-onroad cost deals they do randomly). When I bought mine last October I had a 4 week wait because it was still in transit on a ship. So it's not like they are carrying huge stock in holding yards like Mazda, etc do. Little stock = Little reason to discount.
