Just did the hillclimb. I'll link you a vid when I get one up so that you can see the conditions. Grip was veerrrry low, it was dry but the start line was slippery and I thought it'd be perfect for testing out the TCS (without throttle cut). However I found that the starts using it were indistinguishable from the ones where my feet did the work. At this stage that could just be because I way more experience launching by myself and since this was my first time on r spec semis using the modded TCS, possibly I could have persevered with it. I still think its something that i'll save exclusively for when its wet.
Something I did find (and I'd noticed it on the street too) is that if you are really getting up it coming out of a slow corner and have a little too much throttle to the point where its pushing wide, so much so that you have to get out of it to get traction back, using the modded TCS it felt like the front braked were biting to get traction back but the weight transfer onto the nose would then have you correcting a bit of over steer. Without the TCS and just relying on the LSD this wasn't happening. For that reason I'll only ever use it to get me off the line - i'll work at a bit more in the dry (A state round isn't really the place for testing) but think it'll be great in the wet. In the hillclimbs we have one steep start line (facing up Conrod straight at Bathurst) and I think it'll be unreal for that.
Sam Thanks for the update.....so great option to have and maybe a bit of a work in progress as well.
will keep you posted on the rear brakes and the progress on the BMC
Hi All,
I managed to put the carriers side by side.....they are slightly different the Audi TT ones i got vs the bora V5, i"ll see if i can post some pictures, The difference is slight but makes a major difference.
The pictures will highlight the difference for others so they can see, hopefully will help to others in the future, i'll also post the numbers on the carriers numbers for others who wish to do the upgrade, so they can ensure they get the right carriers. The Calipers are exactly the same lucas 38mm so have a set of used calipers going cheap if someone whats them.

can you have another go at the pictures? they're not working for me...
yeah pics have been a little hit and miss i'll try and up load the comparison one too....
when comparing the carriers the brake pad section of the carriers is the same.
but the Bora v5 carriers are about 5mm higher than the audi ones.
the auid carriers are also alot more straight up and down wheres the bora ones step out to the left more then up...sorry if that doesnt make sense hopefully the photo will explain it better.
i will put them on the car this weekend....spray painted them with red caliper paint and put them in the oven at 100c for 1hr to set the paint.
